The CPI-101 has an energy detector that enables the computer to determine which of the call progress tones is present on the line - ringing, busy or dial tone. Two Models Option 0 The low impedance unit is designed to replace the telephone set on an MDC line. It is capable of receiving and transmitting all MDC codes, as well as receiving DTMF digits, decoding call progress tones, and generating dial tone. The list 0 is ideal for telephony applications in a Centrex environment such as call management and distribution. Option 1 The high impedance unit is designed to replace the telephone set on an MDC line. It is intended for telephone applications where voice access to the line is required. The list 1 has all the features of the list 0 with the exception of tone reception and generation. Equipment Required
